Coriander Dip



I mostly avoid snacks as I am incapable of regulating my consumption of them. Last night however was our first warm evening and it stayed light until twenty to eight so I was moved to pour myself a glass of wine to consume on the front porch while watching the world go by. The wine intimated that a snack was in order so I poked about to see what I could come up with in a pinch. I had sour cream and coriander relish (which can be bought most places where you can buy mango chutney though my allegiance goes firmly to the Kalustyans house brand. And no, I don't get a commission on sales, I just love the shop so much so that I have suggested that, upon my demise, my ashes be surreptitiously scattered in the aisles there. My son firmly said no.)


I served this with pita chips, but it would be equally delicious with tortilla chips or a selection of crudités. It is ridiculously simple, but incredibly moreish.


1/3 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 Tbsp coriander chutney

Juice from half a lemon


Measure ingredients into a bowl, stir to combine and you are ready to go.


I deliberately undermixed so that there would be pretty green striations in the dip.
